1. Order
- Order Nystagmocatcher, the complete optical attachment to your mobile phone
- Order the required number of diagnostic analyses

2. Record on video
- During dizzy spells, periods of BPPV or other balance disorders: attach the Nystagmocatcher to your mobile phone and record your eye movements
- Complete a 5-minute examination by following our voice and audio instructions from a computer, tablet or another telephone
- Video the movements of the right eye and save the video to your mopile phone
3. Send in the video clip
Interpret the recorded eye movements yourself, ask another care provider to interpret them or get our assessment. We have considerable experience in interpreting eye movements.
- Send the video via our cloud service (April 2024 only for Swedish citizens)
- The cloud service is GDPR compliant and you log in using swedish Bank ID
4. Get analysis, diagnosis and treatment advice
- Submitted videos are interpreted every weekday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- You receive examination results, diagnosis and treatment advice via a chat function
- If ongoing BPPV is identified, we can determine the location of the crystals and instruct a repositioning manoeuvre

What you can expect
Involuntary eye movements ”Nystagmus”
All the impulses of the sense of balance are linked to movements of the eyes. The most common and most important dizziness disorders can be detected or ruled out by assessing your eye movements – nystagmus analysis. Nystagmocatcher® is an optical attachment that you fasten in front of the camera lens of your smartphone. The attachment enables a high-definition video recording of your eye movements with your smartphone while simultaneously preventing the recorded right eye from being able to focus.
Important
To provide clear diagnostic eye movements, it is very important that you cannot control or focus your gaze. During the examination, you should therefore close your left eye or cover it with the patch.
